THE GLAN SHARE OFFER

Pennal, the land of Dragons, Poets, Singers and legendary Warrior prince’s

The people of Pennal have a vision of safeguarding the village Pub, help provide crucial access to local services, safeguarding a historic building which is integral to the village and securing the historical location, which has had such an important part to play in Welsh History, for generations to come.

Pennal has very deep historical connections with the Prince of Wales, Owain Glyndwr, where over 6 centuries ago, Owain Glyndwr sent out the famous Pennal Letter to the King of France, Charles the 6th asking for assistance to save his country and defeat the English King Henry 4th, who suppressed his country, the Welsh language and culture.

This is our Pennal Letter #2, reaching out to the world to anyone with Welsh ancestry for help in saving our village community pub, Glan yr Afon.

The Prince of Wales, Owain Glyndwr was unfortunately, not successful but he was never captured. There is no grave, but they do say he is like King Arthur… waiting to resurrect and help his beloved community again.

He may not be here in body, but through his courage in what he believed in, his spirit has given this small community the strength to reach out with its own cry for help in saving the thriving hub of this historical village.

Today we have the daunting task of raising £450,000 to help save the pub, which is why we’re also asking for support in the form of the ‘Pennal letter #2’!

PENNAL WHERE 6 CENTURIES AGO THE PRINCE OF WALES OWAIN GLYNDWR REACHED OUT FOR HELP BY WRITING THE PENNAL LETTER JUST AS WE ARE REACHING OUT FOR YOUR HELP TODAY WITH THE PENNAL LETTER #2
